Junior Programs
The Pelham Racquet Club is proud to host a wide range of junior programs for students of all ages and ability levels. From our new beginner classes to our High Performance Academy, juniors can find a great fit to get started or refine skills in a fun and caring environment. The club's 20 clay courts and 5 hard courts provide our programs with plenty of space and surface options to maximize practice time. Our experienced staff develops players by teaching them proper grips, swings, and strategies, providing a solid foundation for their games to grow.
All of our programs offer multiple-day class options. Juniors can pay per class or pay an annual membership fee to join the Prime Tennis Academy! Our instructors also offer private and semi-private lessons. We encourage our juniors to get involved in team tennis through the USTA and local school systems and participate in USTA tournaments. We truly care for all of our students and enjoy being part of their tennis journeys!

Pelham Racquet Club's Beginner Academy is geared toward elementary-age players who are just beginning tennis or bridging the gap from beginner to the point where they can rally and play points. Classes specialize in learning grips and basic swing form. We use various low-compression balls to make it easier for our youngsters to learn and start rallying. Classes include new and younger players. Players are learning how to make contact and hit the ball. Our goal is to guide players through a developmental progression, advancing from Beginner to Intermediate to Advanced.

Pelham Racquet Club's Intermediate Academy is reserved for high school, middle school, and elementary-age players who are involved in, or beginning to compete in, tournament play. Classes focus on proper grips and form, as well as proper positioning for singles and doubles. Our goal is to provide our intermediate players with a strong foundation to develop into high-performance players.

Pelham Racquet Club's High Performance Academy is reserved for experienced high school and middle school players who are focused on tournament competition. Classes specialize in advanced swing and footwork techniques, as well as singles and doubles strategies. High-performance classes are for serious players with a focused mindset.
